Pursuing excellence means doing the small things right. Day in and day out. The quote “how you do anything is how you do everything” sums it up well for me. Excellence is not something that you turn on and off depending on the task. Good enough’ is never good enough!

Nobody believes the progress I have made in 6 weeks. Its awesome..

- Blair Douglas

I got everything and more from the camp. My numbers speak for themselves. OHS went from 45# to 135#. FS went from 155# to 345#. I'll send you my BS numbers next week but it will go from 275# to high 300's/low 400's.  I know the camp isn't the only factor but the dedicated time spent on learning the squat variations has helped me get my mobility, in the correct areas, to a level where I can move properly to take advantage of my size. It has also helped my confidence with the movements in class and in the open. Everyone's movement is night and day compared to the start of the program.

I enjoyed the way Cody ran the class and his programming. He always provided multiple scales for each squat (and different scales each day). He also didn't repeat an accessory movement throughout the course.

I would likely attend another camp and have already told a couple people they should attend the next squat camp. I have no issues providing a testimony. Feel free to use my numbers as well. Those should help drive interest. Cody has already helped me add 350# (without including my 1 RM BS) to my squats compared to what I was comfortable doing in class. If you talk to any of the coaches they can also speak how my overall movement has improved. When I started at Blended 6 months ago I was squatting to a target. Nobody believes the progress I have made in 6 weeks. Its awesome.

He instructs with good humour, encouragement and a strong emphasis on technical perfection..

- Beth Peters

It was a pleasure having Cody run us through our paces in the Squat Camp.  It was obvious that a lot of thought went into creating this program from stretching to strengthening, set up to execution.  Cody is extremely calm and focused and has great communicate skills in that every move was not only demonstrated perfectly but also explained in such a way that it made it easy for me to remember what I needed to do and why.

He instructs with good humour, encouragement and a strong emphasis on technical perfection.  I was most impressed by his insistence on safety and learned a great deal about how to avoid injury.  All in all a great experience and I see vast improvement in my abilities.

Oh and he has great taste in work out music too!

The value of working with a coach is more then being told what to pick up and put down. As a coach my role is to keep you consistent to motivate to educate and to hold you accountable to yourself.

For me, pursuing excellence is an ongoing, day by day, moment by moment endeavour. I frequently ask myself the question; am I working out of my highest ideals right now or being the best version of myself?

My philosophy for training is that it should be fun and functional. There’s nothing I enjoy more than being part of someone’s journey as  they grow to love the gym and their workouts. I believe everyone can  benefit and most importantly enjoy working out once they’ve found the  right environment for them.
